The goal of this “Licence” degree is to provide students with a strong foundation in Economics, a broad introduction to the social sciences and quantitative methods in the social sciences, and an intellectual education that will enable them to pursue graduate studies at the Toulouse School of Economics (TSE) and its master’s programs, as well as other programs such as those offered by the Toulouse School of Management (TSM) (Master’s in Management).
This Licence program is designed for students who have continued to study Mathematics in their final year of high school. Career opportunities are diverse and varied, including roles such as economists, consultants, and research analysts.

Please note: The first year of Licence Économie also welcomes students from the preparatory classes for the Écoles Normales Supérieures (CPGE ENS Paris-Saclay D2) at Lycée Ozenne. A separate tutorial group (ENS Paris-Saclay track) will be available for these students.

Admission to Year 1
For applicants with a French or European baccalaureate, the admission process takes place on the Parcoursup platform. For better chances of success, we recommend applicants to follow a mathematics specialization in their final year of high school. Find the course description on Parcoursup.
For applicants holding a non-European degree, please follow the DAP - Etudes en France procedure. If needed, you can get in touch with the Université Toulouse Capitole International Office.
Admission to Year 2
All TSE students who successfully completed their first year is automatically eligible for the second year.
External students may apply if they successfully completed a first year of study following their high school diploma (first year of CPGE, first year of an undergraduate program in Economics at another university in France or in other countries) or have 60 ECTS credits. Selection is based on academic records.
Courses are taught entirely in French and a C1 French language certificate may be required depending on the applicant’s profile (TCF or DALF exams).
