Parcoursup (EN)
Parcoursup?
This process allows you to apply for admission to the first year of a bachelor’s degree program (french "Licence") for the upcoming academic year.
Parcoursup is a national process; its timeline and procedures are standardized for all French higher education institutions.
If you wish to apply for the first year of a Bachelor’s degree (L1), are in your senior year of high school or have already earned your high school diploma, and reside in France or in a country without a Campus France office, you must submit your application through Parcoursup.
We explain everything below!
How does it work?
Required Information
- Grades from 11th and 12th grade. These are automatically submitted by your school via Parcoursup
- Statement of Purpose. A free-form essay explaining your motivation and academic plans—to be written for each choice
- Activities and Interests. Experiences, commitments, and hobbies related to your academic plans
- Class Council Evaluation. An assessment from your current school, submitted automatically
Calendar
The Parcoursup schedule is organized as follows:
- January: Platform opens — registration and submission of program choices
- March: Deadline for submitting program choices and confirming your application — deadline must be met
- Spring: Responses from programs, as they become available — starting in early June
Procedure
Step 0: First, visit the pages for our L1 programs to learn about their specific features and find all the information regarding the admission requirements (the “Admission” tab). . Then, review the information below to help you with the application process.
You will receive emails, so be sure to provide a valid email address. Check your email regularly.
Create your account starting in January.
If you are changing your academic track, you must create a new account. An account used in 2025–2026 will no longer be valid for 2026–2027.
You can list up to 10 choices, in no particular order. If you choose to apply to preparatory classes (CPGE), the number of choices may be increased.
Grades, statement of purpose, extracurricular activities. Provide detailed information about the required elements on your Parcoursup profile for each choice. Highlight your application to give yourself the best chance of success.
Before the deadline set in March.
The deadlines for confirming your choices are strict: any unconfirmed choice will be automatically removed.
Starting in the spring, as things unfold.
Possible responses and what to do
- “Yes”: The program has accepted you. Congratulations! You can accept the offer definitively—all your other choices will then be canceled—or keep your choices on hold if you’d prefer to wait for other responses.
- “Pending”: You’re on the waitlist. Spots may become available as other applicants accept or decline offers. Check your application regularly.
- “No”: The program cannot accept you this year. Review your other choices or contact the counseling services to explore other options.
Please note:
- You must respond to the offers within the timeframes posted on the platform, which can sometimes be very short (24 to 72 hours).
- You may only give one “definitive yes”: think carefully before committing, as your other choices will be permanently canceled.
Have you received an acceptance (“YES”) for the L1 program at TSE? Congratulations—we look forward to welcoming you!
Please review the details in the email sent to you, then visit our enrollment pages.
Our enrollment campaigns for the first year of the Bachelor’s program begin in July. The academic year starts in early September following a pre-semester orientation day (late August–early September) where students are welcomed.
