The Toulouse School of Economics offers a two-year Master’s programme in Econometrics and Statistics’, that aims to provide students with a solid grounding in Economics, Econometrics and Statistics, in order to ensure they can quickly enter the workforce as statisticians or econometricians upon completion of the programme.

The first year offers compulsory advanced courses in theoretical Economics, Econometrics and Statistics, as well as optional specialisation courses in various fields such as Finance, databases, optimisation, applications of Markov chains, probabilistic modelling and techniques specific to ‘Big Data’.

The second year focuses on advanced and applied statistical and econometric techniques, whilst training students in the use of software such as R, Python and SAS, and in database management. The modules enable students to develop skills in processing complex data (panel data, survey data, survival data, graph data and spatial data) using advanced econometric and statistical methods (parametric, non-parametric and machine learning).

The second year of Master’s programme is also available as a work-study programme, and for distance learning. For more information on these variations, please download the corresponding brochure.
