ARTE, Année Réussite à Toulouse en Économie is a transitional year between high school and higher education designed to combat academic failure and promote access to long-term higher education. It provides training that enables students to embark on higher education the following year with a real chance of success.
This transition year enables motivated students to meet the academic requirements of the institution by developing their skills in three key areas—Mathematics, Economics, and English—which are essential for pursuing ambitious studies at one of the prestigious schools within the University of Toulouse Capitole: the Toulouse School of Economics (TSE) and the Toulouse School of Management (TSM).
Courses are delivered jointly by Lycée Joséphine Baker and Lycée Ozenne (Economics, English, Mathematics, and general knowledge), and Toulouse Capitole University (Management, English, and descriptive Statistics). These subjects are validated by the university throughout the academic year.

"Having taken physics, chemistry and biology as my specialized subjects in my final year of high school, along with the advanced mathematics module, I didn’t feel sufficiently prepared to tackle my first year of an economics degree at TSE. I therefore decided to enroll in the A.R.T.E. programme to strengthen my foundations in mathematics and also to discover economics and the discipline associated with it. This transition year between high school and the bachelor’s degree proved essential to my academic success in the years that followed. The support provided by the teachers, along with the combination of high school and university courses, allows for a gradual and guided transition into higher education."
