N° 27 - Here's to your health!

Published on 12 November 2024

Taking care of ourselves, of our health. For many of us, this has become essential, but obstacles remain: inequalities in access to care, lack of information and our sedentary lifestyle. In the context of climate change and globalization, our health is facing increasing risks, as demonstrated by the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic.

Taking the pulse

TSE researchers work hard every day to find solutions to these vital issues for our future and the Common Good. Today, they're happy to share their knowledge with you in this new issue of TSE Mag.

  • Why are we eating more and more processed foods, and what can governments do to preserve our health?
  • How can we make healthcare accessible?
  • Why is mental health as important as physical health?
  • How can the economic concept of game theory save lives in the face of cancer

You'll find the answers to these questions in this TSE Mag, along with pop-culture references to help you approach these topics from a different angle. The full bibliography is available via this link. Don't forget to plug in your headphones and listen to our “Heartbeats” playlist.

Introduce your students to economics in a new light!

If you are a high school teacher, TSE offers you the opportunity to introduce your class to economic research. Students who receive our TSE Mag can participate in a meeting with a TSE researcher to discuss the topic of the latest issue and gain a practical understanding of what it means to be a researcher.

If you’d like to make it available to your students, TSE will be happy to send you free print copies. Simply request them via the dedicated form.

In 2025, TSE Mag received a joint second prize for Scientific Communication from ARCES, the network of communicators in higher education and research.
The jury praised “the relevance to the target audience, the choice and treatment of topics, the illustrations and infographics, as well as the local partnerships and the effectiveness of the distribution - 5,000 copies sent to high schools and shared on social media by TSE students.”
