N° 26 - Climate revolution! Our future is renewable

Published on 22 April 2024

Climate change is causing more than one young person in two to feel anxious. These were the findings of a study carried out in 2021 among 10,000 young people aged 16 to 25 in 10 countries and published in The Lancet. In recent years, young people have often been the first to take to the streets in peaceful 'climate marches'. Anxious, but committed, and above all, the first in line to be affected. Today's young generations are the ones who will drive tomorrow's change. To support them in this transition, TSE is publishing a series of articles dedicated to the fight against climate change in the new issue of TSE Mag.

Our future is renewable

In this magazine, 17 academics, graduates and students share their knowledge and the results of their work on these subjects.

  • How can we transform our energy use to protect the planet?
  • How can we foster growth in empathy towards our planet and future generations?
  • What kind of mobility will we have in the future?
  • Why aren't we doing more to protect the environment?
  • What are the links between climate change and our colonized past?

Answers to all these questions can be found in this new edition, which also includes pop culture references to help you tackle the complex subject of climate change in a new light, and a carbon footprint bingo to encourage you to choose more virtuous behaviors.

Introduce your students to economics in a new light!

If you are a high school teacher, TSE offers you the opportunity to introduce your class to economic research. Students who receive our TSE Mag can participate in a meeting with a TSE researcher to discuss the topic of the latest issue and gain a practical understanding of what it means to be a researcher.

If you’d like to make it available to your students, TSE will be happy to send you free print copies. Simply request them via the dedicated form.

In 2025, TSE Mag received a joint second prize for Scientific Communication from ARCES, the network of communicators in higher education and research.
The jury praised “the relevance to the target audience, the choice and treatment of topics, the illustrations and infographics, as well as the local partnerships and the effectiveness of the distribution - 5,000 copies sent to high schools and shared on social media by TSE students.”
