Following an initial collaboration launched in 2021 focused on the highway sector, ART renewed its partnership with TSE in 2025 to support new research projects dedicated to rail transportation. The ongoing research initiative aims to shed light on the economic challenges associated with the regulation of essential rail infrastructure and to contribute to improving its performance as well as the quality of service provided to users.

Activities

The research initiative combines several types of activities:

  • Conducting research on identified issues,
  • Presenting the findings at scientific conferences or events for decision-makers,
  • Producing materials that explain academic research in layman’s terms for decision-makers.

Regular interactions between TSE researchers and ART teams facilitate the sharing of research findings and their integration with the authority’s operational expertise. This research initiative benefits from visibility through TSE’s various communication channels.
