FAQ eCandidatures

Before Applying

No, the transcripts requested cover your academic record from the baccalaureate through the first semester of your current academic year. Your final grades will only be required at the time of enrollment if you are admitted.

No, you do not need to submit your application twice.

The dates of the different application campaigns are finalized each year and published on the Admissions page. Detailed information about the campaigns taking place on eCandidatures, including application deadlines, iq available on the TSE eCandidatures platform under the “List of Courses” section (link in the left sidebar).

Check these two pages regularly to stay informed of the upcoming application campaigns.

If you are not currently registered at TSE, you will need to provide letters of recommendation if you apply to the TSE Master of Science or to a Master 2 program (Master in Finance and Data Science excluded).

These letters must be submitted directly by your referees thanks to a specific procedure. You will find a explanatory note of the process to follow in your application file.

2 academic letters of recommendation are mandatory, a third one can be added for a Master 2 application.

Foreign Degrees / International Applicants

Our eCandidatures application process is designed to accommodate admission of foreign degree holders. Please note that if you are applying for the first year of our undergraduate degree in Economics, you may need to follow the Etudes en France procedure (check the relevant situations).

Grades or certificates need to be submitted in either French or English. If these official documents are provided in another language, you will need to have them translated by a sworn translator.

Please note that general GRE test results are mandatory for applications to the TSE Master of Science and to Master 2 programs.

Yes, for programs taught in English, a C1-level English language certificate (TOEFL iBT 5/6, IELTS Academic 7/9, or Cambridge English Advanced Certificate) is required. Home or center editions accepted, Best scores or One skill retake accepted.

No, you'll need to create a new account and get a new applicant ID. If you're a TSE student, you must log in using your Intranet username and password.

If you have taken the French baccalaureate since 1995 or have been enrolled in the French higher education system, you have an INE (National Student ID) or the equivalent, a BEA number (Academic Student ID).
You can find this number:

  • either in the top-left corner of the header on your French baccalaureate transcript
  • or on any French university transcript

Please be careful when entering this number: the INE consists of 11 characters, including numbers and letters.

International applicants who have never been enrolled in a French institution do not have an INE.

The list of establishments is generated based on the ZIP code and city you entered. This list is limited to establishments in France.

The establishment you are looking for may be located in a different municipality than the one you entered. To find out, search for the establishment’s mailing address online, then enter that information into the app.

It is best to only list work experience and internships that are relevant to your application or where your responsibilities help strengthen your application.

If this stay was part of a school or university program, please indicate this in the “External Studies” section.

If this stay was part of a professional experience, please indicate this in the “Professional Experience” or “Internships” section.

There is no limit to the number of applications you can submit. However, you must apply to programs that are consistent with your academic background and career goals.

If you haven't submitted your application yet—the “Submit My Application” button is grayed out—you can click on “Cancel My Application.”

If you have already submitted your application, you will no longer be able to cancel it. In that case, you can send an email to the program contact, specifying your applicant ID , last name, first name, and date of birth, and requesting that your application be deleted. Your data will then be deleted.

Log in to your eCandidatures account and view the summary of your application.

The deadline for submitting applications is listed under “Summary of Your Application,” “Useful information”, “Return deadline”.  The application portal closes at midnight Paris time.

Once the deadline for submitting applications has passed, you will no longer be able to upload supporting documents or submit your application.

Check the status of your documents. The status of all documents must be “Submitted” or “Not applicable.” If a requested document does not apply to you, you must click on “Not applicable” if that option is available.

Once all supporting documents have been uploaded, the “Submit My Application” button will turn green. You can then submit your application, which you will no longer be able to modify.

For some programs, applications are reviewed on a regular basis. Others have scheduled review committee dates. For more information, check the summary of your application.

You must confirm or withdraw your application and then complete the registration or re-registration process, as applicable. Registration processes at TSE generally open early July.
