Exemption provisions
National Tuition Fees- Differentiated Tuition Fees
Exemptions from tuition fees, including differentiated tuition fees, are possible within the limits set forth in the Education Code (Art. R.719.50), and in particular the caps established for public institutions of higher education under the jurisdiction of the Minister of Higher Education. Such exemptions are granted by the institution’s director following the recommendation of a duly appointed committee.

Specific Tuition Fees for International Master's Programs
Exemptions from specific tuition fees (€5,500) are awarded each year to selected students, taking into account their academic records (academic excellence) and personal circumstances (geographical, financial, etc.). These exemptions are decided by the head of the institution following the recommendation of a duly appointed committee.
These exemptions do not apply to national tuition fees (€254) or the Contribution to Student and Campus Life (CVEC) to the CROUS, which remain the responsibility of the student (with the exception of Crous scolarship recipients and those in the care of the Nation and the Republic). Please note that the differentiated tuition fees do not apply to international Master’s programs.
Any applicant admitted to an international master’s program is eligible for a exemption from specific fees (5,500 €). Admitted applicants are notified by email of the detailed procedure and deadlines.
Two exemption committees meet for applicants admitted to international master’s programs:
-
In March for applicants from the Eiffel Scholarship and those from the January-February application period.
-
At the end of May for ‘internal’ applicants (students enrolled at TSE) and Master’s 2 applicants holding a French degree.
Following the committee meetings, exemption decisions are communicated via email by the Admissions Office.
Specific Tuition Fees for the TSE Master of Science
The tuition policy for the TSE Master of Science takes into account applicants’ academic track record (academic excellence) in order to offer “scholarship offers” as early as the admissions phase, which result in a reduction in the cost of the program. Applicants do not need to take any action; they are identified directly by the committee reviewing the applications and, if eligible, are offered these scholarships when their admission results are published.
