The TSE Master's programs
The TSE Master's program is a two-year program designed to give its graduates a Master's degree in the fundamentals of economics and mathematics applied to the social sciences and know-how in advanced quantitative methods applied to economics and the social sciences. The school's Master's program is divided into four fields, three in economics ("economics", "applied economics" and "econometrics, statistics") and one in mathematics ("applied mathematics, statistics") and three types of tracks: an international track, a standard track and a doctoral track:
The 2nd year ETE Master's degree corresponds to entry into the doctoral program and is accessible from all the tracks below.
International track
The international track, all courses of which are taught in English, prepares students for the international job market and is completed in the second year by the acquisition of methodological expertise ("economics", "econometrics-statistics" or "applied mathematics, statistics") or thematic specialisation ("applied economics").
Applied Economics field
- First year: M1 Applied Economics International track (course content is available in each specialization below, under the 1st year tab.)

In accordance with the criteria adopted by the Doctoral School, admission to this M2 ETE is open to first year Master's students regardless of their field and to students from outside the school.

- Advanced Research degree in Economics (MRes in Economics)
Students wishing to undertake a thesis in Mathematics and Applications can apply for the second year of the Master's in Mathematics and Economic Decision (MED). It is highly recommended that they have already completed the first year of the Master's in Mathematics and Economic Decision (MED) or that they can justify an equivalent level in mathematics with very good achievement.
Admissions
When you apply for admission to the first year of a Master's degree, in courses offering several specialisations in the second year, you will be asked to specify which specialisation you prefer or to indicate if your choice has not been made yet. The organisation of the courses authorises reorientations between specialisations, or even between certain fields (after the opinion of a committee) insofar as the fundamental courses of the first year of the Master's program are common to several fields. As soon as the first year is validated, the transition to the second year in a specific specialised program is designed to ensure that the conditions for success are met.
The "Economics & Law" path in the "Economics" field of the Standard Track is only open in the first year of the Master's program to students with a double Bachelor's degree in "Economics" and "Law". It leads to a double degree in "economics" and "law" at the Master's level. Admission to the second year is possible and requires, in addition to a degree in economics, a sufficient level in law attested by a university degree or equivalent. It leads to a degree in "economics" at Master's level.
Admissions to the second year of the Master's program focus on ensuring that candidates have sufficient academic background to successfully complete the chosen program.
All practical information about application process, deadlines, required documents,... are available in the ADMISSION section of the website.
