TSE host the 1st Human Capital Conference in June 2026

TSE will host the 1st Human Capital Conference on June 22–23, 2026, organized by the TSE Human Capital Center with the support of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR).

The conference aims to bring together researchers working on policy-relevant issues related to the determinants and consequences of investments in human capital. Topics will cover a wide range of areas, including school market design and choice, active labor market policies, subjective expectations and learning, the impact of AI on the labor market, spatial inequalities in education, public sector workforce challenges, and life-cycle inequality.

The program will feature around 15 selected papers presented in single-track sessions, fostering in-depth discussion. A roundtable with practitioners will also be held to address current policy challenges in human capital.

The event will include keynote lectures by Parag Pathak (MIT) and Petra Todd (University of Pennsylvania).
