Food economics

The food economics group aims at managing, coordinating and promoting research activities about the economy of the agro-food sector.
This group is composed of around ten TSE researchers working in this area, you can watch below a quick presentation of the group and an example of research project:

Recent and on-going research is devoted to two main topics:

  • Vertical relationships and price transmission in the food supply chains from farmers to consumers: consumers’ demand, profit sharing, quality signals, market power and pricing strategies
  • Sustainable food: assessment of public policies (nutritional and health policies in particular) including health and environmental cost-benefit analyses, consumers’ and firms’ behavior analyses

  • Biweekly external seminar, organized by Dennis Rickert and Vincent Réquillart.
  • Monthly internal seminar, organized by Céline Bonnet.
