Student and Campus Contribution (CVEC)

Payment of the Student and Campus Contribution was introduced from the start of the 2018 academic year (Article L.841-5 of the Education Code).

The CVEC, collected by the CROUS, is “intended to promote the reception and social, health, cultural and sporting support of students and to reinforce the health prevention and education initiatives carried out for their benefit”.

In practical terms, the CVEC helps to ensure:

  • Access to healthcare on campus and the strengthening of prevention policies within institutions;
  • Social support for students;
  • Support for student initiatives;
  • Access to sport, art and culture;
  • A warm welcome for students.

The amount of this contribution is set at €105 for the 2025–2026 academic year.

Regardless of their circumstances, students must log in (or create an account) at https://www.messervices.etudiant.gouv.fr/

Depending on the circumstances, payment is required. This can be made

Students who are exempt (scholarship holders) must still complete this process, although they do not need to make a payment.

Students receiving grants will be sent a download link to obtain their CVEC certificate upon receipt of their conditional grant notification.

To help you with this process, the CROUS offers a free helpline on 01 40 51 62 00 or 01 40 51 37 35. The latter number is for international students seeking assistance in English.

Without a CVEC certificate for the coming year, you will not be able to complete your administrative registration.
