TSE congratulates Pierre Dubois on his election as a member of the European Regional Standing Committee of the Econometric Society, for a four-year term (2026–2029) starting in January 2026. This appointment will be confirmed at the next committee meeting, scheduled during the 2026 European Summer Meeting (ESEM), which will take place in Dublin from August 17 to 21.
Pierre’s election to the European Regional Standing Committee of the Econometric Society reflects the recognition of his peers — and, more broadly, highlights the importance of our institution, Toulouse School of Economics, in advancing economic research.
About the Econometric Society
Founded in 1930, the Econometric Society is an international scholarly society dedicated to advancing economic theory in close connection with mathematics and statistics.
The Econometric Society publishes three leading academic journals: Econometrica, Quantitative Economics, and Theoretical Economics, as well as a series of monographs.
It organizes regular scientific meetings — both worldwide and at the regional level — that enable researchers to share their work, exchange ideas, debate, and collaborate.
Finally, the Society supports the training and development of young researchers through summer/winter schools, workshops, and mentoring programs, with the aim of promoting skills in econometrics and quantitative methods where they are least accessible.
