Biography
Julien Bétaille is a Professor of Law at the University of Pau and Pays de l’Adour (UPPA) and a member of the Institut Universitaire de France. He holds a PhD from the University of Limoges (2012) and previously served as Associate Professor at the University Toulouse Capitole from 2013 to 2025. His current research explores biodiversity and climate law through an empirical lens, with an emphasis on understanding how environmental law shapes social outcomes. Within the legal field, his work stands out for its use of quantitative and computational methods.
