The MUT Card: a multi-service student card
The MUT Card (University of Toulouse Multi-service Card) is the standard student card used across higher education institutions in Toulouse. It serves as a student ID card, an access badge and a platform for various university and partner services.
It is issued free of charge upon initial enrolment at a member institution of the Toulouse Community of Universities and Institutions.
What is the MUT card used for?
The MUT card allows you to:
- to prove their student status;
- to access university libraries;
- to use CROUS university canteens;
- to pay for certain services using the Izly digital wallet;
- to access certain buildings or rooms, depending on the institution;
- to use certain partner services provided by the City of Toulouse.
Available services
University libraries
The MUT card allows you to borrow items from the network of university libraries in Toulouse. A single registration is all you need to access the entire Archipel network.
University catering
The card provides access to university restaurants and CROUS services.
Payment with Izly
The card includes the Izly service, a digital wallet that allows you to pay for:
- meals at CROUS;
- vending machines;
- printing and photocopying;
- certain laundrettes and partner services.
The Izly account is activated after administrative registration via your university email address.
Partner services
Depending on the options activated, the card can include:
- Tisséo transport;
- VélôToulouse;
- certain municipal services (swimming pools, museums, sports activities).
Access control
In several institutions, the card also serves as an access badge for university buildings, rooms or facilities.
Obtaining the card
First enrolment
The card is created following administrative enrolment at the institution.
Re-enrolment
The card remains valid from one academic year to the next. A sticker for annual renewal is then provided by the institution.
Loss, theft or malfunction
In the event of loss, theft or damage:
- you must notify the student services desk;
- have the card deactivated;
- request a replacement.
The replacement fee is €15.
If partner services (Tisséo, City of Toulouse) have been activated, you must also contact each organisation to reactivate your subscriptions on the new card.
Data protection
The issuance of the MUT card involves the processing of personal data relating to:
- the student’s identity;
- their academic status;
- the university services they use.
These data are used in particular for:
- libraries;
- university catering;
- certain transport services and partnerships.
Students have the right to access, rectify and object to the processing of their data in accordance with the GDPR.
