Biography
Mateo is an applied microeconomist working in topics related to development economics, political economy and labor economics. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachussets Institute of Technology in 2020. Before joining the Toulouse School of Economics (TSE) in 2022, Mateo was a Postdoctoral Fellow at CEMFI and an Economist at the OECD.
