Biography
Harstad studies political economics and environmental economics. He has published research articles on international political economy, the political economy of regulation, emissions and technology investments as stochastic games, and on conservation and supply-side environmental policies. For some of this research, he has received three ERC grants and twice the biannual Kempe Award for the best European paper in the field of environmental and resource economics.
