National competition authorities-TSE Partnership

About

TSE has a long tradition of interactions with national competition authorities in Europe. Four national competition authorities (NCA), including those of Denmark, Iceland, Finland and Norway, have entered into a new collaboration framework with TSE in 2025. The aim of this collaboration is to strengthen competition supervision, consolidate the decisions of the competition authorities, and in the process, help develop impactful research.

This collaboration entails several types of interactions, such as multilateral brainstorming sessions between TSE researchers and the chief economists of these Nordic NCAs to address real-world cases and identify relevant policy issues calling for new research avenues on regulatory matters. Seminars will enable TSE researchers to share their knowledge and allow experts from the authorities to provide feedback. The collaboration might also take the form of executive education sessions.

The collaboration with this group of Nordic national competition authorities feeds into the research work developed under the aegis of the TSE Competition Policy & Regulation Center.
