Dennis is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Toulouse School of Economics. In 2011, he started as a graduate student at the Düsseldorf Institute for Competition Economics (DICE), where he graduated in October 2016. In the past 6 years, he held several positions in Düsseldorf and Toulouse, beginning as graduate student, project member, teaching instructor and coordinator, mentor, and researcher. His research is concerned with several questions around Empirical Industrial Organization and Marketing, with a specific focus on the estimation of structural demand models and inference on retail and wholesale profits. He uses these models to address a variety of policy concerns, such as on contracting and bargaining power, market definition and merger evaluation, taxation in multi-level supply systems, and dynamic behavior.
