About
Since 2006, the French Development Agency (in charge of financing the economic and social development of nearly 80 developing countries and Overseas Communities) and TSE have been working together to reflect on the social and environmental aspects of sustainable development. A subject dear to both entities in order to envisage a better world tomorrow.
In the framework of this partnership, a dedicated team of researchers supports AFD on research work on social protection, social linkages, and transition risks, particularly climate and financial risks. A reflection will be conducted on global financial regulations, a measurement and evaluation of the cost of insecurity in conflict zones and fragile States, an assessment of the impact of conflict on children's health, the fight against the human exploitation of poor migrants, and finally, intellectual property rights and innovation in developing countries. The partnership contributes to AFD's reflections on the regulation of markets and companies in situations of imperfect competition, public services (water, transport, electricity) and infrastructure for equitable and sustainable development.
Research performed with the support of AFD feeds into the resarch work under the aegis of the TSE Sustainable Finance Center and the TSE Infrastructure & Network Center.
