In the first year, the Master Droit, Économie, Gestion, mention Économie Appliquée (Master's degree in Applied Economics), is an academic program designed to equip students with solid skills in both theoretical and applied economic analysis.
In the second year, the standard 'Économie Appliquée' track is an academic program enabling students to acquire knowledge and skills in Economics, Econometrics and statistical software in order to develop the ability to apply economic analysis to a wide range of fields.
KEY SKILLS
- Master statistical and econometric models to analyze data
- Master IT tools to extract and process data (R and Python programming, data mining, web scraping, sentiment analysis, etc.)
- Conduct economic studies and develop assessments, forecasts, and recommendations for decision-making
- Be able to clearly communicate the results of completed studies to all types of audiences

The aim of this University Diploma in Professional Development is to enable students to successfully enter the job market.
This program offers:
- Personalized support
- 4 course modules (2 in the first year and 2 in the second year)
- Career Success Workshops on the following topics: “Stress management, salary negotiation, conflict resolution and preparation for assessment centres”.
- Access to the iCIMS job interview simulation platform to practice for your future interviews.
This diploma, which costs 360 euros, is open to Master’s Year 1 and Year 2 students on the standard program. Registration takes place at the same time as registration for the Master’s program.
Please note that any student who enrolls in the Level 1 Professionalization University Diploma during their first year of the Master’s program will be exempt from the registration fees for the Level 2 Professionalization University Diploma once they are admitted to the second year of the Master’s program.
- Automatic admission: students who have successfully completed the Licence mention Économie at TSE are eligible for a Master’s degree at TSE.
- Admission based on application: for external applicants, selection is based on criteria of academic excellence, taking into account their entire academic record. They must:
- Hold a three-year degree of higher education: a Bachelor’s degree/Licence in an Economics-related field, whether from a French or foreign institution;
- For non-native French speakers, proficiency in French at the C1 level is required;
- Foreign degree holders will need to submit GRE test results.
- Automatic admission: students who have successfully completed the first year of the Master Économie Appliquée at TSE are eligible to progress to the second year of the Master’s program.
- Admission based on application: for external applicants, selection is based on criteria of academic excellence, taking into account their entire academic record. They must:
- Have successfully completed the first year of a Master’s degree in an Economics-related field, or hold a French or foreign degree (equivalent to four years of higher education);
- For non-native French speakers, proficiency in French at the C1 level is required;
- Foreign degree holders will need to submit GRE test results.
Application procedure:
Applications for the first year may be submitted:
- Through the MonMaster procedure if you wish to apply exclusively to TSE’s standard programs, are a national of a member country of the European Economic Area, or currently reside in France or the European Union.
- Through the eCandidatures procedure: regardless of your circumstances and if you wish to apply simultaneously to at least one of the TSE’s international programs.
Applications for the second year must be submitted through the eCandidatures procedure.
Application campaigns will take place:
- Fall campaign (Eiffel scholarship): October 22nd to November 11th 2026
- Winter campaign: January 11th to February 1st 2027.
