Résumé
Understanding how theoretical knowledge learned at the university can be applied in real-life situations can be challenging. This presentation aims to illustrate how economic methods can be used to assist clients facing competition challenges, using parts of two real-life cases Positive Competition worked on. The first example explains how optimisation techniques can help to design remedies for a merger with local issues. The second example shows how statistical methods, such as clustering, can contribute to the evidence of harm in the context of an abuse of dominance between digital platforms.
