Résumé
We propose a simple theory of labelling for goods with a credence aspect. Provision of labels can be seen as a public good. We employ a tournament to provide a ranking of goods (or services) with a credence aspect to the uninformed public. The theory seems to be similarly applicable to advertising and applies to many industries.
