Workshop

The Economics of the Digital Markets Act (DMA) Workshop

22–23 septembre 2025

Brussels

This workshop was organised by the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission with the support of the Toulouse School of Economics and Yale University.

Objective:

The main objective of this workshop was to present state of the art scientific research on several aspects of the economic implications of the DMA, and take stock of the knowledge generated so far. However, as the DMA will go through an evaluation in 2026, the workshop intended to provide timely information to address relevant issues for the coming years of DMA’s implementation and enforcement. Among others, the questions that were addressed were: How the research generated so far can help the DMA evaluation? What research would be needed? What are the DMA areas that generate more and less attention? Which areas require more attention?

Organizers:

Nestor Duch-Brown (European Commission)

Alexandre de Cornière (TSE)

Fiona Scott-Morton (Yale)
