Adrien Blanchet is a mathematician specialised in partial differential equations, calculus of variation and optimal transport. Assistant Professor at the Toulouse Capitole University, he has been a member of TSE / GREMAQ since 2008 and IAST since 2012. Since his arrival in Toulouse, he has strongly oriented his research toward applications of mathematics to economics and social sciences. His works in economics are mainly devoted to the understanding of emergence phenomena. Such results apply to the description of urban equilibria. He was leader of the "variational method applied to economics and social sciences" (EVaMEF) ANR project from 2009 to 2012. He organised three multidisciplinary conferences at TSE in 2010, 2011 and 2013.
