Biography
Victoria Barham holds a degree in economics from the University of Toronto (Canada) and a doctorate from the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium). She joined the postdoctoral program at Queen's University (Canada) before becoming an assistant professor and then an associate professor at the University of Ottawa (Canada). From 2008 to 2014, she served as chair of the economics department at the University of Ottawa. In 2017, she was appointed associate dean of undergraduate studies and external relations for the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ottawa, before becoming dean of the faculty in 2019. She has also been a member of the Board of Governors of uOttawa and the African School of Economics. Experiential learning is central to her academic approach. From November 1, 2025, Victoria Barham will head the Toulouse School of Economics.
