Biography

Jesse Fenneman is a postdoctoral is a research fellow at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Toulouse. Although he is a psychologist by training, his broader research interests also include decision-making, psychometrics, artificial intelligence, game theory, and evolutionary biology. He currently has several mutually inclusive research lines. In this first, he uses simulations to understand how environmental factors shapes different types of impulsivity – including information sampling, intertemporal choice, and risk taking. Second, he studies how Social Exchange Theory, a popular theory in the Management Sciences, can be further formalized and integrated with research in decision-making. Third, he works on fostering interdisciplinary integration by creating new tools to develop, examine, and simulate formalized theories.
