Since 2014, I am a Lecturer at TSE where I received my PhD in 2008. Prior to this position I was a Marie-Curie post-doctoral Fellow at LISER (ex-CEPS/INSTEAD) in Luxembourg between 2012 and 2014, and before that an Assistant Professor of Economics in Mexico, at the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo León between 2011 and 2012 and at the Universidad de Guanajuato between 2008 and 2010. My research mixing qualitative and quantitative methods focuses on migration, social status and schooling decisions in developing countries. I enjoy conducting fieldwork and I had the opportunity to design and direct household surveys in Senegal (in rural areas around Matam in 2004) and in Mexico (in 2010 in a medium urban center, in the city of León, Gto).
